In this project carried out in Balaguer, we show how sandwich panels can be incorporated into a home with a modern, warm, and distinctly residential finish.
The project is built on a KIT StarModul structure, but the sandwich panel plays a key role in the construction of the building envelope: it allows the house to be enclosed quickly, neatly, and with good insulation, leaving the base ready for exterior finishes.

Sandwich panels aren’t just used in industrial buildings or roofs. They can also be used in housing projects, additions, or prefabricated construction where speed, insulation, and more controlled construction are desired.
In this house, the sandwich panel helps create an efficient building envelope, ready to be finished with exterior cladding, window and door frames, and trim.
From the Construction Process to the Finished Home
Once the structure is assembled, the sandwich panel allows for rapid progress on enclosing the home. Exterior finishes such as stone-effect and wood-effect composites are then added to this base, creating a much warmer and more residential final look.
The result shows that a sandwich-panel structure can have a refined, modern finish that blends seamlessly into a landscaped setting.

The finished house features a porch, large windows, a tile-style roof, and a combination of exterior finishes that enhance the home’s overall appearance.
