Sizes

Short screws are used for stitching flashings: just long enough to go through the flashing and the panel sheet. If you need to go through a greater thickness, ask us for the right size.

How to install it

  1. Put the flashing in place and check that the overlaps are properly aligned.
  2. Fix on the crown of the rib or on flat areas, never in the valley where the water runs.
  3. Place one screw every 30–50 cm and one at each overlap.
  4. Drive the screw square and stop when the washer is snug, without crushing it.

Tips

  • If you overtighten, the washer deforms and stops sealing.
  • If you want the screws to go unnoticed, there are versions with the head painted in the flashing colour: ask us.
  • Clear metal swarf away when you finish so it does not rust on the sheet.

Frequently asked questions

How many screws do I need per flashing?

As a guide, one every 30–50 cm on each fixed leg, plus one at each overlap. In windy areas, reduce the spacing.

Can they be used to fix the panel to the structure?

No. They are short screws for thin sheet. To fix the panel, use the screw suited to the structure: purlins, I-beam, timber or concrete.
